Hello everyone!


2011 is coming to an end and we hope you've all had a great year! We thank you for the support you've given us for the past few years and we hope that you'll continue this adventure by our side. In the name of the CSP Team, I'd like to wish you a happy new year!


You may certainly be wondering what has been going on since our last release, and what you can expect to see in 2012.

First things first, while we still don't have a release date for the next beta of CSPromod (1.09), it should be ready for a public release by the end of January 2012.


Be sure to check our dev update site during the upcoming weeks for more information on the subject and also our latest developer logs to see what the developers and beta testers have been up to.


Now, we're quite excited to announce that we have some fresh blood who just joined our developement team!

Please welcome:


-James moleynator Jannaway - Character Artist from Australia, joined us mid-september and has been working on the new player models since then. http://www.jjannaway3d.com


-Sanjeev cloud Dubey - Weapon modeller from India, who just joined us a few days ago, will be starting work on the Desert Eagle model. http://www.cloudfolio.webs.com


-Richard Spearhead Beard - Weapon modeller from the U.K, who just joined us a couple of days ago aswell, will be starting with the USP model. http://www.beardoproductions.co.uk


We're really happy to have them onboard, wish them good luck!


Moving on to animations: Mazzer has started working on brand new animations with the new rigged models and it's looking awesome so far. You can expect a devlog aswell as a video coming soon.


On the mapping front, blackaddR and I, Redstar, have been working on csp_dust2 since mid-October; revamping the map, creating a new theme with full custom textures and models.

I'll post a detailed mapping devlog in January, so stay tuned!


Finally, I won't say much about it yet, but I've started working on custom weapon sounds; many thanks to Twiddler for those, and I plan on recording every single sound csp needs (such as footsteps, body impacts, etc) during the upcoming year. Developer log incoming aswell!


In a nutshell, CSPromod BETA 1.09 should be released late January if everything goes well and will feature many bug fixes and gameplay improvements.


Our next big step for 2012 will be the release of CSPromod 1.1; our first version out of beta: it will feature a lot of custom content and new features and should really be the start of something big:

• New player and weapon models
• New animations
• New textures
• Revamped maps
• Custom sounds
• Deathmatch
• CSPTV
